Why Plain Term exists
Most people who need term life insurance know it. What stops them is the process: a sales call, a medical exam, a stack of paper, and the sense that the price is being hidden until the end. Plain Term is built for the opposite experience. You read a short, honest explanation, size your own coverage, and complete the application yourself online in about ten minutes, seeing your price before you commit.
I'm the licensed agent behind it. That means I'm accountable to the California Department of Insurance for what this site says, I can see where your application stands if it stalls, and if the online route isn't the right fit for your situation, I'll tell you and help you find the one that is.
How the articles are written
Every article on this site is reviewed by me before it's published, carries the date it was last updated, and cites its sources when it uses a statistic or a point of law. Where a question needs an attorney or a tax professional, the article says so rather than guessing. If you find something that's out of date or wrong, email me and I'll fix it.
How I'm paid
If a policy is issued through my link, the carrier pays me a commission. It doesn't change the price you pay; the same policy costs the same whether or not an agent is attached. There is no fee for a conversation.
