Worksheets you can fill in by hand
Two one-page PDFs. Print them, work through them at the kitchen table, and bring the result to the estimator or the application. Free, no email address required, and fine to share with a client or a friend.
How to use them
The coverage worksheet follows the same method as how much life insurance do I need; fill it in, then enter the same numbers in the estimator to get a rounded figure and a suggested term. The checklist is for the day you apply and the day the policy arrives; the free-look deadline line is the one most people are glad they wrote down.
Realtors, mortgage brokers, HR contacts, and CPAs are welcome to hand these to clients. They carry my name and license number, and they don't sell anything.

Ask it here. I read every one, reply personally, and the questions people ask become the next guides.
